We too are planning on spending 3 weeks in September 07 in Europe to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Flying from Canada to Amsterdam Sept. 1st. Leaving Amsterdam via Train to Bruges Sept 5th, Sept 6th train to Brussels. September 7-12 train to Paris staying at Hotel Jeanne d'Arc, Leaving Paris by rental car on the 13th to explore the south of France, leaving the car in Nice on the 19th of September and taking train to Venice for final 3 nights befor flying home on the 22nd. I do not know about you guys but this all started with me wanting to be in Paris for our anniversary and it just keeps getting bigger and better. What time of year is your trip?

HI abby,

I think you are making a classic first timer's miscalculation as to the time, effort, and cost of covering so much in a short time.

With 2 weeks, consider no more than 3 destinations. Gather info on train times, etc. and calculate how much time you will be spending in airports, stations, checking in out, car rental and see how much you have left for romance and relaxing, and sightseeing!

Only 2 nights in both Paris and Rome is really not worth it and you will want return for much more.

You'll get more "Bang for your Buck" if you limit your destinations.

Buon viaggio!

Hi AB,

I agree with Dayle.

This is supposed to be a honeymoon, not an expedition.

With only 11 nights I suggest that you limit your visit to Paris, Venice and Rome.

4 nights Paris
3 nights Venice
4 nights Rome

I suggest Venice over Florence for a honeymoon.

You won't be bored.

You can fly Paris ORY/Venice VCE on www.myair.com.

If you want to take an overnight train, you will want a 1cl private dbl.

www.voyages-sncf.com is offering PREMS fares of 270E for 2 on the 20:23 Artesia train.

You can buy tickets as early as 90 days out.

Enjoy your visit.
