1st time on my own
I am a 62 year old lady and although I have been to Nerja 5 times since last September I have always been with family and in November I am going alone for 4 weeks. I am really looking forward to my "shirley Valentine" adventure but wish only to chill out and have some ME time. I love walking and people watching and am not interested in Nightlife as I have plenty of that when I go with Partner and Family. Any ideas on Things to do if there are rainy days? Any suggestions will be gratefully received

She said she was going to Nerja.
Ellywelly, will you have a car? Are there trains/buses that stop there (I have to confess, I took one look at Nerja and kept on driving, so never got to know it at all, but you've been there, you'll know this stuff).
I'd visit museums, galleries, shop, and do outdoor stuff with good raingear. I'd probably read and write a lot, too. But what do you like to do? Assuming you have a car or access to public transportation, I'd take trips to Cordoba, Granada, and Sevilla.

Yes I am going to Nerja I fell in love with this beautiful town a year ago and Have been back there several times since last September. There is so much to do and see. Wonderful restaurants well everything about it is lovely. I am Surprised anyone could drive straight past it.It's the first time I have been in November and alone so I want to do MY thing for the month. Yes I will probably visit the galleries and browse the wonderful shops.Visit other towns, the public transport is very good. I don't drive but I am very fit and like exploring. Yes I also read and do crosswords so I dont think I'll get bored. I'm going with my partner and my son and daughter in law on the 17th of this month for 8 days. Can't wait. Thanks for your replies. Ellywelly: Welcome. hopscotch missed the bit about Nerja - but his point was still valid. The forum covers all parts of Europe so "1st time on my own" could be asking about any country/city/island - whatever
I would re-post w/ a more detailed title.
