For shore excursions, shorts, polo shirt, comfortable shoes. It will be hot!!!
For evening dining - slacks, polo shirt, deck shoes
Formal Dining- Tux/dark suit (2-3 nights)
Semi-formal evenings - Sport coat/turtle neck/slacks
Shorts/slacks for breakfast/lunches.
Shoes/socks/sandals/bathing suit.
That's kind of it in a nutshell.

Budman has it covered but I will make one suggestion. If your ship stops in Civitavecchia and if you plan to see the inside of St. Peters Basilica then despite the heat you have to be properly attired. We were in Rome in August, yes it was hot and I was denied entrance into St. Peters because I had shorts on. If you plan to go there look into clothing guidelines first. Cheers, Larry

We were on a West. Med. cruise in October and going off the ship I wore light weight slacks and in a few instances clamdiggers/that reached the ankle...just in case... Also, shirts that covered my shoulders...It will be very hot in July. Since I am older shorts were only worn over bathing suit at the pool..formal evenings I managed to get by with mix and match black and white...most of the time..Hubby wore a tux for two evenings and one night his navy blazer. I do agree on comfortable shoes for walking...very comfortable.. What wasn't so funny was that I had brought three pairs of new pants...ooops.had forgotten to have them shortened and ended up again mixing and matching with the same outfits.. The other thing I forgot to do...is wear the t-shirts we bought at each port..we are making a memory quilt from them.
