Time To “Getaway”.... Again

In a few hours we set sail for the Eastern Caribbean for the second time on the NCL Getaway. A few things have changed with NCL since our last cruise so we are looking forward to how these changes will affect our overall cruise experience.

Our whole approach to vacationing is being able to do so at a reasonable (bargain) price and of course to have FUN. For less than $800 for two, we have met part of our objective and by next Saturday I hope we will have returned, mission accomplished.

I think you will like it. Do see the Grammy Experience show and I hope Shannon McNally is still the headliner there.

Also the comedy show featuring one of the actors from the movie "Barbershop" was a riot.

When you are done fill out the survey and good luck.,.

BTW I am curious to see if they got rid of the smoking room on the pool deck. It is not enclosed so smoke wafts out and permeates the air. Can you check that please?

Thanks and Bon Voyage!!

JW,

Relaxing in (Hot) Tortola with El Presidente .. Not much else to do here unless you get up early for "The Baths" or want another "Beach Day". Wish we were here beyond 2:30pm.

Saw Frank Townsend and Tom ??? both funny but MC needs new intro material.. Hearing same jokes night after night is not funny...

Unfortunately, smoking room is still there

Grammy Experience tonight... "Burn The Floor" was WOW!

As I recall Tortola was pretty quiet. I had a Red Stripe myself. Also found a local barbershop for a much needed haircut and the guy did I very good job. Afterwards we went to the Virgin Queen for lunch. So so.

Frank T is very funny and BTF was very good too. I hope you like the Grammy show as much as we did. I hope its still Shannon McNally. I hope she wears her short shorts too. .

Party on dude!!

DMBTraveler,

Haven't been on hear in a while, glad to see you are taking it easy!!! Lol

We have been too, after last trip to South Africa we took a 17 day trans-Atlantic to relax.

Headed out to India in a few weeks then a short 5 day cruise to recover.

After what I expect to be busy holidays we are planning a 21 day trans-Atlantic again.

Have fun & travel on!!!

tch912,

Are you still doing "The Fascination"?

Although we always have a good time cruising I always miss the CCL FUN.. crowd.

IMO, NCL definitely draws a less "FUN" group

Neuman605,

We would love to do some Trans-Atlantic cruising (I'm jealous) but may have to wait until we are officially retired.

Have made some short getaways.. the most recent to Andorra and we have another cruise planned at the end of November then CCL Vista in May/2016.

What T-A cruising have you done?
