I asked if anyone had stayed at Manapany in St. Barts and got a rather curious response. Always seems to me when someone is negative without any follow through they are being just a little odd. Just want some HONEST response from those who have seen/stayed in the hotel. Guess that's getting harder and harder...

Ill give you an honest response.<BR>The beach is rough, windy, and full of concrete like coral.<BR>The restaurant is terrible and over priced.<BR>The manager thinks hes cooler than the world.<BR>The rooms are OK.<BR>Yet everythings broken.<BR>The air conditioning is weak, the fans break, and hit against the ceiling, <BR>The power is cut every night, our tv almost exploded, the bed was about to callapse, and it was uncomfertable.<BR>

Barbara, he GAVE you an honest response SEVERAL times over, including his original trip report which PRECEDED your question (how could you miss it?)! Now SHUT UP!!!

Barbara,<BR>I have a friend who stayed there recently and really liked it..She was in a renovated room though (I don't know if Jeremy was). She did not eat at the resturant so I can't comment on that but the beach was not nice according to her...

If you are going to St. Barts I can't begin to explain all the reasons to stay at Isle de France. I just returned and I've never enjoyed a place more. It's a slice of heaven on earth. Ask for room 3. They'll give you a rental car (ask for a SmartCar) with the room and your first night's dinner is on them. Please, please don't stay anywhere else! You'll miss out!
