Skagway White Pass Railroad

Can anyone tell me which side is better on West Pass? Right or left side (facing the engine as point of reference)? Thanks.

When we went as we entered the train car we sat on the left side facing the engine. This gave us a full view of everything. Another thing you can do - especially if you are into photography - is to stand between the train cars to take photos. The scenery is spectacular and you are sure to love the ride.

I agree. Get aboard and sit on the left. I took most of our photos going up. Coming down goes faster - and I can't remember if they even let you stand outside then.

Yes sit on the left, most of the commentary is on the way up. A "good" place to consider is across from the bathroom, no switching seats at the summit. BUT more important if on the pm train- head to the Park Service visitor center FIRST for all their great free stuff. Will greatly enhance your later train ride. http://www.nps.gov/klgo/schedule.htm

Thank you all for your info... We are leaving this Friday for our Alaska; really look forward to that.
