Regent Cruises
I have booked on a Regent Vogayer cruise to the Greek Islands and Turkey. Cruise starts in Venice. How does one get from the airport to the ship? I am doing my own air. I have booked an E CABIN.on the 8th deck..is there anything I should be aware about re location of my cabin? Need any info from the past travellers on the Voyager....thank you

I've cruised Regent many times and think you'll love the cruise line. You'll be on your own getting from the airport so can't help you there. Are you spending a few pre cruise days in Venice? If you've never been to Venice before I think it would be a good idea.
As for being on Deck 8, I personally prefer to be lower...6th or 7th deck. Hopefully you're mid ship and not too far forward or aft. Their sailings sail pretty full so maybe you're lucky to be on at all. Have a wonderful time!

The cruise ship terminal is accessible by bus and taxi. The easiest way to get there from the airport is by taxi. Of course, that is the most costly way as well.
On the other hand, the train station is a long walk from the cruise terminal and I recall having a problem with roll on luggage only getting on a vaporetto. I don't think that would be a good alternative.
You could also take a bus to the Piazzele (sp?) Roma and then walk to the terminal or take a taxi from there.
Finally, you might be able to get on the ship's bus which will be waiting for others at the airport, with a payment later. But, in my experience, these are far more costly than a taxi.

Have you talked with your cruise company re: a transfer pre & post cruise? Most cruiselines offer transfers, even when not using their air. If so & the bus time fits your arrival time, this is probably the easiest way.
Also easy is to take a taxi. If you want to save money, go to the cruisecritic.com web site, click "boards"; go to the roll call board for your cruiseline & specific cruise (you may have to register). Find those cruising with you & make advance arrangements to meet & share the taxi cost. We did this for a private tour at one of the ports; much cheaper than the cruiseline tour.
Luggage on the vaporetto (water bus) is easy. We always have 1 rollie bag & a backpack pp & don't have any problems. But I don't think a vaporetto is a good way for getting to the cruise terminal from the airport. If you decide to do a pre or post hotel in Venice, be sure to check how many bridges you must climb before selecting a hotel - unless you don't mind hauling your luggage up & down steps. Fodors Europe/Italy board can help you with hotel locations & ease of getting to each. tripadvisor.com probably will have some info on specific hotels also.
I would not suggest taking an expensive water taxi if you do a pre-cruise hotel, unless you share the cost with others, or you don't mind spending the money. You can go to the Europe/Italy board for full details on getting from the airport to a hotel; also ask the hotel. Using public transport, which is easy, is not expensive at all.
Have a great trip!
