Percy Help Baltic Shore Excursions

Percy:

Just read your Baltic Cruise Trip Report: I have been put in charge of our off ship adventures and after reading your post I believe I could win cudos if I can repeat your course. Therefore would you please give me the contact information for the tour companies (tour guides) you used in the port cities: Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, St Petersburg, Tallinn, Gdansk?

Hi DATrue:

Well , right now the Copenhagen lady (tour guide ) is in Vienna and I can get a hold of her quicker for you.

When are you going?

For Stockholm:

This is his e-mail address. you can ask for Peder as your guide if he is available.

[email protected]

For Helsinki and Tallin

Ahti Arak is the fellow's name.

His e- mail address is : [email protected]

Mention my name to Ahti and tell him Hi !

Ahti lives in Tallin Estonia

For Gdansk Poland

Get a taxi right as you disembark off the ship.
Ask a few question of the taxi driver to make sure he speaks good English !!

Then hire him and try to duplicate the course I did in Gdansk.

For St. Petersburg , I used Alla Tours but they have changed their tour reservation e-mail office.

I can get a hold of her quicker for you, as she answers my e-mails much quicker !!! ... Maybe she just likes me ..foolish lady !!

Your can write to me at [email protected] and give me your email address.

I will look after the Copenhagen and St. Petersburg Tour guides for you and have them contact you directly.

The Baltic Cruise was one of the best cruises I ever took,I enjoyed it much better than the Mediterranean cruise I did 8 months earlier !! ( my opinion !!)

Any further question ...just ask,we are all here to help !

Take care
Percy

Hi Percy I knew you would reply!! Hope your hand is getting better. You should be off touring somewhere instead of sitting in Calgary - I heard it snowed the other day.

Hi traveller69

Thanks you for asking , but my hand is still the pits !!!

I just saw the Plastic Surgeon on Friday June 5th , and it will still be a few more months (Grr) and hopefully things will be better.

Yes, it snowed in Calgary ( all gone now) but I am not in Calgary ( I am in Edmonton !!)

I also have Carpal Tunnel (a post surgery complication) so I cannot type much because my finger tips are numb.....other than all that I am doing great !!!
Take Care

Percy - Where are you off to this time? Here's hoping for a very speedy recovery. Don't know why I thought you lived in Calgary but at least I have the province right.

You are amazing. I am so happy I found you at Fodors. This help is more than I could have ever thought possible. I am also so glad to hear the Baltic was better than the Mediterranean as I have taken that cruise too and thought it was amazing but did the ship excursions and have always felt there was something better. You have confirmed that for me. I will catch you at your personal address to give you more specifics. Thank you I am so sorry to hear about your hand we do have an excellent hand surgeon in San Antonio if you want to visit us.

DATrue you are very welcome! Although I am Canadian I am happy to see you are a Texan! My daughter lives in Corpus Christi and we have always been treated so well by the Texans when we visit.

Hi jacketwatch, I was thinking about you the other day.

Yes, too bad this hand is coming along sooooo slowly.

Recovering from the Dupuytrens Contracture surgery ( Right Hand)is one thing , but having a Carpal Tunnel complication on top of it ...well Grrr !!!

As I type my finger tips are giving me little shocks !

Hi traveller69, always nice to hear from you.

Percy: No except for dayquil/niquil. Since this stuff is usually viral I prefer not to take an ATB and my PCP probably would prefer the same anyway. Just have to let it run its course. FWIW I feel better today and went to the local golf store to test some new irons. I really like the new Ping G 10's and probably get them but first i want the pro there who fitted me for my driver, which really has imroved my game, fit me for the Pings. He was off today. He's a Welshman and I do have to listen very carefully due his accent but we talked about what I wanted with my driver and he came up with a nice match so hopefully the irons will be the same.
I was just watch one of my fav shows on Animal planet, Big Cat Diary. Its a documentray which follows specific prides of lions, cheetah and leopard families. I am happy for you. That is a great vacaton and sure gives you something to look forward to. When are you going? I do hope you will send the pics. That would be really nice. Take care, Larry

Hi patandhank ( In Arizona)

....I will try to do a trip report when I get back !

I will be doing Kenya , Tanzania and the Spice Island of Zanzibar for some relaxation on the beach for the final 3 days.

I hate to complain but the hand is just the pits !!!

After I had Dupuytren's Contracture surgery in January , I had to undergo months of hand physio..... from doing all this physio , I developed one of the main complications......... that being Carpal Tunnel..... now my fingers are numb 24/7 Grrr.

Even as I hit the keys on the computer keyboard , I get little shocks...so I better stop now.!

Jacketwatch.......... yes I am sure your bronchitis is viral, because you would know quickly if it was bacteria.

Sound like your golf game is in full swing.

I went to hit 1/2 a small bucket of golf balls yesterday ...I wear a Bike glove ( it has more padding) on the right hand so it does not hurt so much when I grab the club!

Oh well I will be watching the US Open this weekend.

Good Night All
