Need help with private guide in Russia

Hi all,
you were so helpful on our last trip so here we go again.
We are taking a cruise that stops in St. Petersburg for 2 days. (already checked cruise board)
We really don't like large tours and are looking for a private guide and where to "everything"
Any help would be appreciated.

We found Olga here on this forum. She was excellent in every way. Her website is http://www.tourservice.sp.ru/

Just e-mail her - she'll take it from there. We engaged her for two days. Both days, she met us on the ship and we headed into St. Petersburg. Then, she ordered a taxi for us to return to the ship ($9-10).

Thanks so much. I will look her up.
What was $9-10? her time or the taxi to the ship? how many were you? Where did you go? What should you have skipped? We are also going to Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki. Did you make the same stops?

We were on a river cruise Moscow to St. Petersburg. Olga has an hourly rate. The taxi ride back to the ship was $9-10.

Olga will take you anywhere you like and offer suggestions if you are undecided. She gave magnificent tours (in perfect English) inside and out of the places we went with her. In addition the the Hermitage, our favorite was Church on Spilled Blood.

Just my husband and myself went with Olga. After two weeks, we were thrilled to get away from the rest of the ship crowd!

Recommend the Eyewitness Guide St. Petersburg to determine which sights you would find most appealing.

We used Red October and had two wonderful days. They were very willing to personalize their standard two day itinerary to our interests, the driver was very helpful to my mother, who has some mobility issues, and Helena, our guide, was extremely knowledgable.
