How much money do kids spend in the arcade?

I need to budget how much cash to give my kids for the arcade. I know that it can get expensive. How much have past cruisers given their kids and was it enough?

Most arcades on the modern ships don't take cash. Some allow the child to use their "card" to get another card for credits on the machines. They can go thru a lot of "credits" on a sea day.

So, how much are we talking? $100 for a 7-day cruise per kid?

I gave each of our kids exactly $0 for the arcade. There is so much to do on the ship and arcade games are something kids can do anytime anyway.

I give my son $20 per day for the arcade(what my parent's used to give me in Vegas when I was too young to gamble). Anything more he uses his own money. He usually doesn't use it all even on sea days. Most ships you put money into a machine and get tokens.

I do not think Anna is cheap at all. She is smart. She also has children that obey.

I find that parents that give their children big bucks to spend in the arcade are just trying to get rid of them.

Let them play on the computers in the kid's area. They are free. The kids are supervised and you always know where they are.

Paul

Hi Helen,I buy my grandaughter the first card at 20.00. On Princess you can increase by 5.00. The games are not expensive and 20.00 is plenty for 7 days. Sandy
