Hotel near port in Vancouver?

Sailing out of Vancouver on northbound Alaska cruise. Looking for recommendation on moderately priced hotel ($120 - $150) in Vancouver, not too far from the port. Also appreciate advise on morning city tour, as we would like to see a bit of this reputed beautiful city. Thanks to all.

That area has many hotels within walking distance. I have never booked on it, but if you look on www.hotels.com you can choose the Port as a "landmark" then all the hotels near will pop up with a map, distance, star rating and approx. rates, and photos etc. just to give you an idea, then you can contact the ones you are interested in. I use that site alot when trying to get near a specific place. You'll love it, Vancouver is so cool ! I did the gray line I think it was tour where you hop on and off the buses...see Stanley Park...

For that price range, you will be limited. If there are only 2 of you, I would use Priceline.

Try Terminal City Towers in Vancouver. One block from cruise port. You can see cruise ships from your hotel room. Better prices than other nearby hotels. Very nice.

Thanks to all. Great tip on the search option on Hotel.com. Also, we have taken Greyline many times and are always pleased. Will take a look at their website.

We have been lucky with internet specials at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver. It's practically attached to the port terminal, you can't get any closer. We paid $125. as I recall when they had a special in September. Beautiful hotel and rooms.

When we disembarked from an Alaskan cruise in 2004, we used Priceline and got the Marriott Pinnacle, which was very convenient. We paid around $50 per night--of course the $ has weakened since then.

The Canadian dollar is now 92 cents to the American dollar. Canada isn't quite the deal that it used to be. Try the Westin Bayshore or the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
