Costa Europa - ANYONE been on it???

I have booked a cruise on the Costa Europa for later this month. Usually I can get a group together from cruise critic before we sail so we can arrange shore excursions etc.

Not this time. I can't even find a thread for Costa Europa. I have read the other posts about other Costa cruises and I am looking forward to the European tone of the trip (maybe not the food).

If anyone knows anything about the Europa (if it actually exists), please post a reply.
Thanks

Hope there is such a ship.

Is it the same Europa that cruises the European rivers? We saw an absolutely gorgeous riverboat named MS. Europa, it was unbelievably spectacular looking.

There is alot written about the Europa on Cruisereviews...it is the previously called Holland America Westerdam. It really exists and I didn't have any trouble finding sites for it.

Sorry, I know it actually exists and have seen pictures of it on the web but this is the first time I have not been able to contact anyone else going on the cruise or anyone who has actually been on this ship. There are no reviews anywhere.
I know the majority of travellers will be Europeans but I was hoping there would be a few people from N. America that I could connect with before.
Thanks for all the replies.

If it is the old Westerdam, even if they did nothing to it, it is one CLASSY old dame. It remains one of my favorite ships as it retains the "old" ambience of cruising before the floral carpets and neon lights everywhere.

Thanks Curt.
t was nice to hear positive things about a ship especially since no one else on any boards have been on it before it seems.

When was the last time you were on it? If you did the Alexandria, Malta, Lybia etc cruise, do you have any hints on the shore excursions (which I usually don't take unless someone has told me it is worth it), how was the food?

Thanks again.
