Coral Princess info

I know it's new, but if any of you have recently sailed on this ship, could you please give me any insights or suggestions?<BR>My husband and I are booked to Alaska on this ship and we can't wait to hear what people who have sailed on it, thought about it. Thanks

We are also going to Alaska in June on the Coral. I read that it had some problems [it's maiden voyage was delayed] but they are being taken care of. Now, I will check out the cruisecritic site. Hope we all have a smooth sailing! Thanks

I am also going in June to Alaska with my Husband. I hear that the ship did have some minor issues...but that's to be expected since it was so new. It has also not sailed to Alaska yet, so we will have to hope its great. I am sailing on June 28...How about you?

June 14th Southbound. I hope you are as excited as we are. This is a real dream trip for us. Have you decided which shore excursions you're taking yet? Bon Voyage and have a wonderful vacation.

In Juneau, we are taking the Extended Helicopter Glacier Trek, In Skagway, we are taking the Wildlife bald eagle via jetboat excursion and I am still up in the air about Ketchikan. I am very excited.

To gottago and dafkg,
We've sailed to Alaska 5 times with Princess and love that line.
The food and entertainement are great.
Don't know why the Coral would be any different.
Hope you have as good a time as my husband and I have had.

When your in Ketchikan be sure to check out the Red Dog Saloon, everyone visits there, it's walking distance from the ship and notice Wyatt Earp's pistol hanging on the wall.
Also, Dolly's House (walking distance again) is interesting.

Also, I believe one of the shore excursion there is Log Rolling. That was fun too.
Happy sailing.

Lydel--Are you sure the Red Dog Saloon is in Ketchikan? I visited one in Juneau on the main street that was famous also.

The Red Dog is in Juneau on Franklin St., yes very walkable from the ship. The Red Onion is in Skagway on Broadway and Second. Dolly's House is in Ketchikan on Creek St. Worthwhile tour for about $5.
