Anyone use Cruise.com??

I have been looking at their website and wondered if anyone has booked through them and what their opinion would be.

I've used them once and never again. Prices dropped before final payment and they wouldn't reduce my rate. If I cancelled, they wanted to charge me a penalty. Be very careful of this agency.

We always use www.iglucruise.com who price match and have their own prices on some cruises.

Before you book, put a request for the sailing into http://www.CruiseCompete.com

You can put in the price you have from Cruise.com and see if any of the participating agencies can beat it. If you're concerned about the reputation of the agency you work with, there are user reviews and links to BBB sites.

Good luck.

I have used cruise.com twice and have been very happy with them both times. The first time I used them for a European cruise on Princess. I called asking about a port fee I didn't understand on my bill - they put me through to a manager (I wasn't complaining, just asking!) who told me cruise.com had purchased a large group of cabins in this cruise and they would pass on the discount to me - it saved us approx. $500. Two years later I used them while booking a cruise to Alaska, again on Princess. They are located in Ft Laud., where I live, so I felt more comfortable dealing with them - if I had a problem I would have driven over to their office and got in their face. Didn't need to do that, they were great. Would use them again.

I booked a 2008 European cruise with them last month, beat any other rates by over $250, plus got a $200 shipboard credit. I think this agency does a lot of the group cruises for cruisecritic.com. I hope we'll be happy with them!

Ditto the recommendation above to try cruisecompete.com We used them for our upcoming cruise and got a great rate. The agent we selected has been easy to work with.

You input the exact cabin category you are interested in and within a day you will have up to 10 bids to compare.
