Annoyance about Carnival
I booked a cruise last May for a departure date in Feb. 2003 for a 4 day cruise. We were supposed to stop in Key West and then go on to Cozumel. After looking on the internet today I noticed the stop was cancelled in Key West (and we love Key West)and now we were only make a stop to one port which is Cozumel. I feel we should have been notified of the itinerary change. Well I cancelled this cruise and am now booked with RCCL with a stop in Key West and onto Cozumel.

Another good example of Pauls mis-information. Please bookmark this for future reference.

Now we'll get a 3:00 am posting from him explanining that he really meant this or that or if all else fails that he's sorry, sorry, sorry for letting the entire cruise industry down or some other smart a** remark.

Oh, Oh, the Peter Police is after me again.

I presumed (look up the word "presume" in the dictionary Peter) that it was the Fascination since that ship has the only 4 day itinerary that ports at Key West. I read PRINTED matter (look up printed in the dictionary Peter). The Sensation after sailing many years out of Tampa on a seven day western Caribbean irtinerary is changing its itinerary to a 4 and 5 day cruise out of Tampa in December. These 4 and 5 day cruises never had Key West PRINTED as a port and xxxs' post put me in the twilight zone.

I "presume" the internet is or was incorrect. It is one place I do not go for many reasons.

Now, Peter, you could pick me apart again with your usual biting manner, but in the future will you please, with your limited cruise ability, research before you post. And don't be so naughty.

Paul

Hey Paul it's time you were told. P.A.P. Stands for: "People Against Paul". Bunch of us are just sick and tired or your inaccuracies, half truths, feeble attempts at sarcasm, and self promotions.

And no we do not subscribe to Peter's methodology, but we do believe you should get your own web site, and that Fodor's should have registration.

Until you get a web site or they have registration you will have to deal with us in one form or another.

Yes, Mark, I know the Sensation sails its 4 and 5 day Western itineraries out of Tampa starting in early September. The problem is that Paul doesn't, didn't and is trying to cover his a** over his original post. He tries everything and anything from poking back to outright lying - anything to keep his image untarnished.

I may be rude and crude, but if I made one tenth the inaccurate statements Paul makes, I'd shoot myself. But, Paul, I DO my research before I post.

I spend most of my time over on CruiseCritic but come over here occasionally when I have extra time. We see Peter over there once in a great while and he's just as crass.

I do think he's "rude and crude" but he's right; Paul is very often inaccurate and surely is in this case. About every time I come over to this board; about twice a month, I see posts by Paul that make factual statements that are out and out wrong.

Peter is a disgrace to constructive critisizm but Paul is a disgrace to this board. People come here for help and he takes his biased views and posts them as fact.

No, I am not part of this P.A.P. group. I have well over 150 posts on CruiseCritic and don't make it a habit to bash anyone. I try to help and sometimes seek help myself. The last place I'd come for real help is Fodors. This place is beginning to be a joke.

To Paul

I did not get my misinformation on the internet. I got it directly from the Carnival Cruise book. When I booked the cruise it said Key West in the 2003 catalog. When I cross referenced on the internet that is when I saw that Key West was no longer a stop. So I don't rely heavily on the internet.

Phew, I'm getting a headache.

Thank you for telling me what PAP stands for.

Are you like an association or a club? Maybe like the Knights of Columbus? What are the annual dues?
How many are in your association? Do you practice in the basement?

Paul

You're right xxx. There was a catalog that was printed briefly (I am looking at it now, 2002-2003) that was so incorrect in its dates, itineraries and ships that travel agents could not use it. Ask any travel agent or Carnival.

Didn't your travel agent tell you about the itinerary when you booked.
What did your original itinerary sheet, that you should have received after you placed your deposit, state?

That brochure caused many problems.

Paul

Well, when you start handing out the free cars, we will happily pay to get you on your own web site. Last count had us at give or take around 10 people so I guess we would be an association.

As far as practicing in the basement, naw we leave that up to you.
