Ziva Rose Hall and Zilara Rose Hall by Hyatt
Hyatt is opening these two adjoining resorts in November. Half price (roughly $500 a night instead of $1000 for ocean view) all inclusive advance reservation available so we're thinking of going for 4 nights in mid February over our anniversary. Never been to Jamaica, and have never done an all inclusive, but mainly thinking of it as a simple relaxing holiday. Maybe get a car and "tour" the island one day?
The Ziva is family friendly but the Zilara is adults only, including their pools and a couple of the dining options on property.
I'm trying to figure out if this is a former property of someone else that Hyatt is redoing? Any information is appreciated.

Ah, with some research I did find that this property was formerly the Ritz Carlton Rose Hall, and is undergoing a very major renovation.
I notice that one of the biggest complaints about the Ritz Carlton was the very small beach. I thought in the pictures it sure doesn't look like much beach.

I don't know anything about those properties, but I have been to Jamaica a few times over the years. I stay out in Negril.
You probably don't want to rent a car and drive around by yourself, I'd hire a private driver if you want to do that. I love Jamaica, but it can be a little rough & rugged areound the edges if you aren't familiar with the way things work there.
