which Island should I pick

Im planning a last minute trip with my husband for our 10th anniversary, we both love to snorkel. We would like to go somewhere where we can snorkel from the shore without paying for a bunch of boat trips. We plan on renting a car. Thanks

Bermuda, snorkle in Church Bay or Tobacco Bay. Beautiful spot.

Any number of beaches on the north shore of St. John. Gorgeous tree-shaded white sand beaches with wade-in snorkeling.

My husband took me to Bermuda for our 10th anniversary last year. The service on the island is great, the shopping is fun, an island tour is a must - as is the snorkeling.

Just got back from a week in St. John. The snorkeling is great there. All beaches on St. John are public, so there are lots to choose from. Easy to get to by car.

I've done the above, but recommend Long Island, Bahamas. It is not as easy to get to, but can be reached in one day with careful planning and scheduling. Stella Marris and Cape Santa Marie have internet sites, but I don't know exactly what they are, as we stay at a less costly place called www.chezpierrebahamas.com or something close to that. The others have air conditioning, etc., but we like the open air cottages on top of the beach, with nothing else around but miles of empty beach, with a couple Cays off shore to snorkle around. Curt

I forgot to mention that we spent our 10th anniversary on St. John. We had gone there once before and it was so wonderful that when my husband asked me where I wanted to go for our 10th there was only one answer. We are absolutely nuts about snorkeling. I would recommend St. John with one just one boat trip that will take you to Virgin Gorda and Norman Island for snorkeling. You will be in HEAVEN!!! If you end up going to St. John, this board will be able to recommend many wonderful snorkel experiences accessible right from shore. DO IT!

You can snorkel from the beach in some locations on Grand Cayman as well.
