Help--we are trying to decide between staying at Grace Bay or Point Grace in Turks and Caicos over the Fourth of July holiday for 5 nights. We like to dive & sit on the beach--any suggestions which hotel is nicer 0r more sybriatic?? Thanks for any help

Hi Jan,
We just got back from our trip and we stayed next door to Point Grace. Our tour guide mentioned that several of his clients in the past have been a little disappointed with Point Grace because it lacked in terms of service.
But the hotel looked very nice from the outside.
We went to Grace Bay one night for dinner at Anacaona and the resort looked lovely. It definitely gave me the impression that it was one of the high-end resorts on the island. Their restaurant (Anacaona) was upscale and service was very good.
In terms of being sybaritic (is this the word you meant?) I would say Grace Bay may very well suit you.

Ate at Anacona and service was great...and Grace Bay looked great!
I would choose Grace Bay over Point Grace, just on initial looks.
Although both looked great.
We stayed at The Sands...and LOVED it. Ocean front suite...nice pools...good restaurant...good service.

One thing I noticed about Point Grace (we stayed next door at The Sands) is that it is actually out on a bit of a point and is the windiest spot on the beach. The have several little wind tents set up and it seemed most people were camped out in them. A little breeze is a good thing, but it seemed like too much to me. The Sands was fabulous, by the way!
