Hello everyone,
Just wondering how you all can afford to stay at Point Grace. I'd love to stay there but once u add the taxes and convert it to Canadian funds I need to take out a second mortgage on the house...hehe!! God I really wish i could stay there. Do they ever offer any deals at all?
thanks
Luisa

We have been to the Caribbean 13 times. We pick a different island each year and try it. This year was somewhat stressful so we picked Grace Bay Club since we heard it was quiet and laid back. It is very quiet, we laughed and joked it was like the rapture came since many times we were alone on the beach and by the pool. It was very nice in that we never waited to get a table for meals and they called us by name. We sat at the bar with only a few other people most of the time. This was the first time we were in the Caribbean without crowds or much noise. If you wanted more action you could walk down the beach to Beaches or Club Med. There are only 21 rooms at GRB, so even with all the rooms filled there was not many people. The grounds are clean and well manicured. Our room was perfect, 3rd floor beachfront and hugh - a full kitchen, loft and the nicest I've ever stayed in. The service was great.
Now the beach is the most beautiful I have ever seen. The water is powder to turquoise blue and you can walk for miles. It was wonderful. We walked down to Beaches which was a 40 min walk one way and all the resorts are very nice. We walked the other direction to Leeward and there was just a few homes but mostly uninhabited land. It was so beautiful.
We rented a cab (9-12$ one way) to go out to restaurants when we didn't eat at GBC or walk to Caicos Cafe or Seaside Cafe. We had excellent food everywhere. Anacona, Coyaba, Hemingway's, Sharkbites - I think that is all we went to.
The weather was nice 88-92. No rain. We did have a few days of wind, but still great. The ocean water was probably 82 and crystal clear. My husband lost his sunglasses and when we realized it, he walked out in the water and there they were laying were they fell off his head - it was so clear and calm.
I would be happy to answer any questions. I would definitely recommend it.
- Melanie
