Where to dine in Dorado, P.R.?

Can anyone recommend some good restaurants in the Dorado, Puerto Rico area within driving distance of the Hyatt there (but not within the Hyatt Dorado/Cerromar complex)?

There are a few restaurants, frequented mainly by locals, in and around Cerro Gordo - a few miles west of the Hyatt. There are a few restaurants in the town of Dorado.

My husband has been traveling to P.R. for years on business and he eats at Ladrillo ("The Brickhouse") near the Hyatt Dorado. This restaurant was recommended to him by people he knows and he has dined there many times thru the years--they serve "excellent local cuisine".

Thanks for suggesting El Ladrillo. Any others?

I stayed in a villa in dorado last summer. We found a nice steakhouse in Vega Alto which is very close to the Hyatt. Its called the Ponderosa. Prices were very reasonable and food and service was good. Drive North Hyatt about 4 miles into Vega Alta and will see it on left near the wallgreens, which is accross the street. Hope this helps!
