We were in St. Thomas the 3rd week of May '05. We did a day trip to St. John and a day trip to the BVI's. Everyday around 4pm it started raining and did not let up until the next morning. On the ferry coming back from St. John, we got pelted. Wed night at Paradise Point it drizzled all night long. Coming back from the BVI's, we also got pelted. The morning we did the St. Thomas tour it rained on and off. It finally stopped, but started up again in the late afternoon.
When it wasn't raining, it was quite warm and humid, but not so hot it was unbearable. The cloudy overcast helped keep the heat down and the sun from blazing.

looks like our dates will be from April 25th and leaving on May 2nd earlier than I thought so I hope we are ok with weahter even though you never know what could happen during any time of year. We are using our points for The Westin so hopefully it is a nice place.

You know, even if 100 or 1,000 people posted now to tell you about the great weather they had in May in St. JOhn, it would still not be a guarantee that you wouldn't have rain while YOU were there. It's the weather. It's unpredictable. Loosen up, expect some rain. If it doesn't, you'll be pleasantly surprised. If it does, you'll be prepared. Take books, a pack of cards, or a rain poncho. Because even if it does rain, it's a warm rain and not necessarily unpleasant to be outside in.
