Weather in PR right now????

I'm holding my breath after looking at a number of online weather sites. We're going to San Juan for a week, starting June 7, and it seems like all the predictions point to rain, rain, rain. Anyone know if they're just talking about passing showers (like they usually get in the tropics), or if it's an all-day thing? We've already been "washed out" of a vacation and never want to go through that nightmare again. Anyone down there right now or live there, so they have an idea?

I'm about 90 miles south and we've had rain, rain, rain for about a week now. It's been very unusual for this time of year. However, today is finally clear, sunny and beautiful. So, hopefully it will stay that way for awhile.

Typically, when the forecast calls for rain, it's just passing showers and not an all day thing.

You can also keep track of things by looking at the Caribbean satelite map on weather.com.

just got back, and i have to tell you, i pretty much got rained out. i would recommend heading to culebra or vieques, as the weather is typically a little brighter there. we went from san juan to rincon, and all the way back to culebra. found sun on the last day. good luck.

Just got home late Wednesday night. Stayed at Hyatt Dorado, can't say enough positive about it. Great room on beach, food wonderful as well as service. Would highly recommend it. Anyway, the weather was perfect. Hot, but no rain. Great ocean breezes! Wish I was there now. Have fun!
