There are six of us couples planning a trip to Tobago in December. Other than Seabreeze and Stonehaven, does anyone know of any other villas, or villa-type resorts in Tobago worth looking at?

Sanctuary Villas is close to Stone Haven. I booked a two-night stay for a three-couple group just last month - my brother and his wife, his business partner and business partner's wife and her parents. They loved the place. Three of them are from Iceland and vowed to be back.

Sanctuary's website seems to have died but I'll post back when I find out what's going on with it.

Check out Conde Naste Travel magazine Aug. 2006 for travel warnings to Tobago. Especially for villa rentals. I just read it today and was very disheartened seeing as though we are avid St. John villa renters.

Is this article available anywhere online? I'd love to take a look at it but I don't think they sell that magazine here.

For what it's worth I did take a look at their cntraveller.com website and the Tobago Guide section talks entirely about Trinidad and doesn't mention a single unique fact about Tobago. Yes it's the same country but the islands are as different as chalk and cheese.

Villas Are Us, Tobago has a great selection to choose from. They are mostly located in the prime Grafton, Black Rock area.
