Vacation w/Nanny Service
My husband and I are looking for a spring getaway and we would like to bring our 7 month old infant along. We are looking for a romantic destination without alot of kids running around however we would like to find a resort or cruise with nanny services. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

travleis: Several months ago I made a similar response to a post asking essentially the same type of question and was accused by a number of contributors as being insensitive to the needs of families with young children. I still, however, have difficulty with some people's logic - why do they feel it is OK for them to bring their children to a resort but they don't want to be bothered by other people's children?
That said, there are many well run resorts (both upscale and more moderatly priced) that welcome parents with young children, Little Dix Bay-BVI, Four Seasons-Nevis, just about any resoort on Provo's Grace Bay-T&C, and any of the Breezes resorts, to name a few.

I haven't had the chance to use this service but I bookmarked it because I thought it sounded like a great idea. It's a service that provides nannies to vacationers in Tortola and Virgin Gorda:

In defense of the poster, there is a big difference being around a 7 month old and being around alot of teenagers and tweens running around. While the baby is that age, they can take a romantic trip and still have junior around. I have a very well behaved 14 yr old that I take with me to resorts and I still avoid the AI "teen scene". I see why they want to postpone that experience until they have to do it with theirs. That being said, I have many friends who have tried the nanny thing at resorts and they prefer to bring a sitter with them. If you get adjoining rooms, it works out well and then you completely control your time.

Thank you to the last poster! I certainly did not mean to offend anyone and I really don't have a problem with children, however, my husband works out of state and I didn't get to see him for our anniversary or valentines and the next time we will be together as a family will be late April, that said, we would like to go someplace quiet and yes, romantic. As if that no longer can exist after children?? Like the previous poster mentioned our 7 month old is not running around and screaming yet and when he is, we will most definetely take the family vacations where he can run around and have fun with all the kids, but until that time, we would like to have a nice, quiet family vacation! Thanks for your suggestions, I will check in to them.
