Vacation to the Caribbean with a toddler

My husband I would love to go to the Caribbean this summer, but wonder whether we could find a great place to visit/stay with our 3 year old daughter. Just eating out and lounging on the beach would be fine if it was just the two of us, but we want to be able to find things to do that would occupy a very active toddler. Any suggestions?

hi steph, i would like to suggest Beaches. there are 3 on jamaica and 1 on provo. they have fabulous kids programs including sesame street and they are happy to take care of your daughter any time you and your husband want some adult time. each one has several restaurants.

Hyatt Hacienda Del Mar in Puerto Rico, Aruba Marriott Ocean Club. Both condo resorts with all amenities, kids club and lots to do.

I second Beach on Provo T&C. DH and I went there several years ago and had a great time, even though we do not have children.

I did however speak with several Moms and Dads while we were there and they really like the kids camp programs and the provided baby sitting.

Grace Beach is wonderful.

In January 2004 I took my daughter to Club Med in Punta Cana. The trip happened to fall on her 3rd birthday. The kids club is incredible and my daughter was on stage in a play by the end of the week. Food and accomadations weren't the best. Overall the trip is full of fun.

we are actually going to aruba in june with our 3 yo daughter - we picked aruba b/c we have never been there & it seems activites are easily accessible with a toddler - we are not planning anything really - i figure all the "newness" will be enough for her plus gorgeous water and pools - i've done a ton of research so if your interested just email directly for more info. have fun where ever you decide to go.

My niece just took her three sons to Beaches on Provo. She loved the pool, ocean, the sunsets, spectacular views and sugar white beaches. They thought the restaurants were great and the people friendly.

My vote goes to Beaches Provo in T&C.

A VERY kid friendly place.

Also, it's a short ride from the airport. I think some of the resorts in Jamaica might take a long time to reach once you are on the island (???).
