turtle cove
Hello everyone..new member here and have been reading posts from this site for a month now. Ive looked at what seems to be endless choices for a vacation, actually a honeymoon prior to a marriage : )..seems were doing this bass ackwards lol...long story there.Anyway I keep comming back to the T&C islands. I dont think the AI's would suit me too well.. just get the feeling I would feel like I was trapped in a Disneyland type atmosphere. I like what these islands seem to offer and thats the unspoiled, laid back, stunning water and beachs. We were rather shocked at the airfares... airway robbery there at 700 a ticket. Anyway has anyone ever stayed at the turtle cove marina hotel and if so how was it?. Thanks for any help.

Turle Cove is not on the beach, stay in Grace Bay. (IF budget is a concern, stay at Comfort Suites across the beach.) As per airfare, we fly out of DC, the air is high right now, wait for a sale. (Around $500 is more reasonable for airfare.) Grace Bay is one of the prettiest beaches in the world.

Turtle Cove Marina is about a 10-minute walk from the western portion of Grace Bay Beach - including Smith's Reef, which is an excellent snorkeling spot.
We found IGA and restaurant prices slightly higher than, say, St. Thomas or Aruba, but not ridiculous. If you are willing to buy "local" brands with unfamiliar names, you can spend a lot less on groceries than if you insist on the same brands you buy at home.

The Turtle Cove Marina Hotel is basically for boat people who want to get off the boat for a while and take a hot shower and sleep on land. Probably better places to stay. You might look into Sibonne, Caribbean Paradise Inn or Royal West Indies. Only Ai's on Provo are Beaches and Club Med.
