Trip Report/ OCW in T&C
Ist of all, I want to say I went back and forth in choosing a place to stay. I finally decided on Ocean Club West and am so glad I did. We spent 6 nights in a 1 bedroom suite, which was spacious, had a full kitchen and 1.5 baths.
Wlaking all along Grace Bay beach, I found Ocean Club and Ocean Club West to have the best and widest beach. (along with cleanest) I walked around the Sands, Royal West Indies and Ocean Club and much preferred the landscaping and setup of Ocean Club West. There was construction on both sides, but it never bothered us. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and went out of there way to be accomodating., The 1st day of arrival, I requested more closet hangers and within 5 minutes they arrived.
As far as restaurants, we loved Gecko Grill, Aqua and Tiki Hut for ribs. Seaside Cafe by OCW was OK, but the food at 21 was horrible. I mean horrible.
We rented a small SUV for 2 days and went to Coral Gardens and Smith's Reef for snorkeling. The next day, we checked out Malcolm's Beach. The beach is very quiet, with very few people there, but the snorkeling wasn't so great. It's a place just to go to hang out.
Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be more than happy to answer them.

Meta, We are planning a trip to T&C with our 18month old daughter in May/June. Having a hard time deciding between Sands and RWI. Based on my research online it seems Sands would be better for us (location and onsite restaurant). Any thoughts. Did you get a chance to tour the rooms or the pool areas? Did the Sands seem too crowded? Thanks

Meta, thanks for the trip report! I just listed a separate post about whether to stay at the Ocean Club or Coral Gardens and thought you might have some advice given you just got back from Ocean Club West. We'd be travelling in March. Any thoughts?

Mnag,
If you are choosing between Sands and RWI, I'd pick the Sands. I didn't see the rooms, but saw the pool area. Between the 2, Sands seemed to have more little ones and be more kid friendly.
At OCW, Ports of Call was right across the street. It was convenient for us.

Forgot to answer your question travelbeck. I didn't see the rooms at Coral Gardens, but I'd pick this resort if snorkeling is a major priority. I found the beach to be narrower and a bit dirtier than by OCW. But, if there are 2 adults and you don't want to be around small children, Coral Gardens may be a better choice.
