Grace Bay Beach Resorts
Anyone have any info on the following resorts on Grace Bay beach? Coral Gardens, Ocean Club, Royal West Indies, and The Sands. Is one better than the other? Pros and cons? Thanks....Steve

Based on comments on this forum, they all seem pretty similar (nice in general) although the Coral Gardens has the best location for snorkeling and commands a higher price. Other than Coyaba (expensive) at CG, the Sands seems to have the next best on-site restaurant in Hemingway's (moderate).
You can also get some in-depth reviews of each at tripadvisor.com.

Steve,
In general, what makes one resort better than another is often subjective and depends a lot on the preferences of the people. If you could give us a better idea of what you're looking for, we might be able to sort out the resorts in some order.
All of the ones you've listed are generally given high marks by reviewers. As bluefan mentioned, if easy access to snorkeling from the beach is high on your list, then Coral Gardens would move up in the list.
If you want to walk to a golf course, Ocean Club would be the closest, etc.
Exercise spa? Screened in balconies? There are subtle differences between the resorts, but from what I know of them, I would be happy at any of the ones you've listed.

Have stayed at Ocean Club and Coral Gardens and toured RWI and The Sands and eaten in both their restaurants. RWi and Ocean Club are probably less expensive than the other two. but we like Sands and Coral Gardens location better. RWI and Ocean Club are on either side of Club Med. We prefer Coral Gardens because it is the only place the reef come close enough for off the beach snorkeling and in our opinion the Restaurant Coyaba is the best on the island. It is expensive but there are excellent restaurants in every price range on Provo. The Sands restaurant Hemmingways is better than the restaurants at RWI and Ocean Club. Pools-- Sands and Ocean Club have the better pools. All suites at Coral Gardens have beach/oceanfront views which is not the case at the other three. Hope this helps.
