One flight comes into airport code UVF on the south end of the island. The other leaves from airport code SLU at the northern end. Apparently the drive between them is 1.5 to 2.5 hours. We'll have time to make the trip, as we're overnighting between flights, but what is the best/most economical/safest way to make the trip. Your quick advice much appreciated!

Hmm - don't know about cheapest...BUT....one of the coolest things I ever did was take the helicopter from one airport to the other..it's like doing a tour - the views are outstanding! But it's not cheap....but would I do it again? In a heatbeat.

Take a taxi from the airport. 2.5 hrs seems a bit much.

Taxi would be around $80-$100.
Cheapest would be local bus but the journey would be longer and luggage would be a major problem.

Best way and most economical way to get between the two airports are mutually exclusive. The best way is by helicopter. The most economical way is by taxi unless you want to rent a car and make the drive yourself (FYI - roads can be intimidating for the inexperienced driver.

Thank you all. The best answer turned out to be skipping Santa Lucia and flying into Grenada.
