The Best of ... Aruba?
We're looking for a top five list of restaurants because we are spending five nights in Aruba later this month. What we are really looking for is if you had five dinners and were willing to spurge on 2 of the five, which two would you spurge and what other three would you eat at? Thanks!

Boonoonoonoos I'm sorry to report has been out of business for awhile, we both enjoyed it very much-the chef was Austrian and he was very good.
We have traveled to Aruba 8 times and its hard to select from five restaurants but our favorites are:
PASION RESTAURANT BODEGA-European-Asian fusion cuisine. Extensive wine list-received 2002 award of excellence from Wine Spectator Magazine. Last trip this March ordered potato crusted chicken with mushroom duxelle and husband ordered linguine with shimp/lobster-superb! Moderate.
MADAME JANETTE. Extremely popular restaurant, sit outside in patio with twinkling lights overhead. Guitarist-singer around 8:00 p.m. Moderate.
GASPARITO. Sample local cuisine and sit outside in the patio of an authentic cunucu house (request outside). Small art gallery. Moderate.
AMAZONIA. All you can eat big meat lovers restaurant. Waiters rotate around tables with skewers of all types of meat (steak, beef, chicken etc). Waiters stop at your table when your shaker is turned up green and pass by when shaker is turned up red. Large salad bar. Lots of fun! Expensive. Walking distance from hi-rise area.
TABASKO barbecue night definitely on Monday night and I believe Thursday. Live band sings soft rock and you help yourself to steak, chicken, ribs, fish, potatoes, salads. Sit outside on a deck and all this delicious food for only $20 per person. Gets busy after 7:30 p.m., if you get there early you may be dining alone! Great deal.
A lot of these restaurants have websites --in Google type out "Tabasko Restaurant, Aruba" , "Madame Janette, Aruba", "pasionrestaurantbodega" etc.
