Hi Marci,
We are leaving for St. Thomas on Saturday the 31st. There are 4 of us taking a sailboat over there to the BVI and the Baths. We are sailing on Jim's Jester sailboat. His website is www.sailjesters.com
We have space for 2 more if you would like an adventure for the first time like us.
take care
Lisa

The baths are a truely unique experience and well worth it!! If you plan to climb the rocks at the Baths, it can be a bit strenuous. Everyone may not be up to the challenge. Ropes and ladders help you navigate.
Smith's ferry may still offer a package which includes a tour of Tortola, lunch and a few hours at the Baths. You can also plan the trip yourself on the Inter Island ferry - planning connections are a little more difficult. You will need ID to clear customs in the BVI. Also, plan on a $15 per person departure tax to leave. It is an ALL DAY EVENT. We really enjoyed it! We would like to do it again. Approx cost $100 per person.
However, a private sail would probably be more direct so...I'd check into the offer LisaLU made!! Hope you all have a great time!

you MUST MUST MUST go to the baths! it is absolutely beautiful and quite unique. great snorkeling thru the huge rocks. also, there is a secluded little beach right before you get to the main entrance to the baths. worth a peek. by chance, if you're staying at caneel bay in st. john, they have a ferry to the baths to their sister resort, little dix bay.

We spent time on St. John, Tortola and Virgin Gorda in November/December. The ferry services are great - sit up top and enjoy the ride. The Baths were well worth it. Explore the caves and head on down the beach to Devils Bay. There's a couple different publications that list what days the cruise ships are in Tortola. Pick a day when they are NOT there. Have fun.
