Tennis - Caneel or Little Dix
Planning a trip to Caneel as they have a good tennis program, probably more important to us than the beaches. But LDB has suite or villa accommodations that we might prefer. TennisOnline has many positive reviews about Caneel, but not as much for LDB. The tennis may make the decision for us, so any comments comparing the two would be very helpful. Thank you.

There are dozens of earlier posts on both resorts, many of which (mine included) compare/contrast the two. (E.g. the rooms are better at LD, the beaches and snorkeling better at Caneel.) Try a "search" under each name, and don't hesitate to ask further questions as they occur to you. By the way, I've never seen much tennis activity at either resort.

The tennis at Caneel is run by PBI and the facility is excellent. I would often play in their round robins (and non-hotel guests do join which makes the availability of other players good) a couple of times a week. I recall that Little Dix has lighted courts but not Caneel but could be wrong. Four Seasons on Nevis has also gotten good reviews from tennis buffs too but I did enjoy Curtain Bluff's tennis. I read recently that Bolletteri Academy has set up a program at one of the newer resorts but I cannot remember which one!

Hi, Caboose. I played at both Caneel and Little Dix in 2006. Program at Caneel was much, much better than the program at LDB. I was literally the only player at the resort at LDB and there were not many decent local players to hit with there. The pro at LDB (there's one) had very limited hours and the courts were shoddy (I believe they were planning to resurface one). Hope this helps.
