St Thomas hotel near airport

We are spending a week on St John, but have a very early flight out of St Thomas, so need to spend our last night or 2 there. Looking for suggestions for hotels near the airport, with beach/pool for the kids. Price needs to be at or below $200 per night. Any suggestions? Other options are to have a rental car, and a hotel further off, but would prefer to be close to the airport for convenience.

To answer my own question, the Best Western Emerald Bay Resort might fit the bill, $270 per night, so a bit over the budget, but right next to the airport, nice beach, pool, restaurant, can catch a bus to town for $1, seems pretty good. Any suggestions for less $$ per night?

Best Western Emerald beach always gets pretty good marks. We have friends who stay there the day before they can get into their timeshare.

I ended up booking at the Island Beachcomber Resort, right next to the Emerald bay resort, but $100 cheaper per night. We're never in our room anyway.

Funny this should come up again. I just got home from St John tonight. Our friends that live on St Thomas took us around the island a bit before our flight. We stopped at The Island Beachcomber bar for a drink. Cute little beach bar and the beach is just steps away. They go there occasionally. She was just saying that Island Beachcomber is a much better value especially for a night although they know people who have stayed for a week and liked it just fine. I didn't see the rooms but the grounds were well maintained. I'm sure you will be happy with it.
