We finally booked our package deal for St. Kitts, leaving in FEbruary! It doesn't include a rental car, we have to book that separately. Any advice on reliable rental car agencies and contact information?

We're spending 3 nights at Timothy's beach resort and 3 nights at Ottley's plantation inn.

Am I dreaming, or did I read you can put your car on a ferry and take it from St. Kitts to Nevis for a day-trip?

No you can't take a rental car on the ferry to Nevis. TDC will do a reciprocal rental for you. If you rent a car on St. Kitts and do a day trip to Nevis tell them and they will have a car waiting for you for the day.

PS Melissa for the Nevis swap, give them a couple of days notice - flexibility would help, if there's a cruise ship day while you're there, that would affect availability of the exchange. Have fun!

Joan, thanks for the tip...a few days notice for the Nevis car swap... So when we make the car rental reservations, they don't need to know right away which day we'll need the car for Nevis?

Does anybody know whether it's more convenient to get to the place where you get the ferry to Nevis from Ottley's plantation inn or from Timothy's beach resort? I think we'll want to make the day-trip to Nevis from Ottley's plantation inn..We have 3 nights at each. But I wanted to go dancing in the evenings from Timothy's. Ottley's seems more remote.
