Sandals resort T&C Islands- need recommendation
Hi,
me and my husband would like to celebrate our anniversary on the T&C...
Sandals has a nice web site, but couldn't really find any reviews?!
Can anybody share your experience with us, please??? We both expect, nice clean rooms, public area, restaurnats, pools etc...
Thanks a lot.

Are you referring to Beaches Turks & Caicos?
If so, it's a kids paradise and quite expensive. Not a place to spend a romantic, quite anniversary. However, if you plan on taking school age, active children this is the place.
Most people recommend Sands at Grace Bay, Coral Gardens or Ocean Club.
Check reviews of all resorts on www.tripadvisor.com
We've been to Sandals Royal Bahamian in the Bahamas and Sandals Grande St. Lucia. We really enjoyed the resort in the Bahamas and loved the Island of St. Lucia.

We have been to 3 different Sandals properties from 1993-2003. We went to Sandals Antigua for our honeymoon in 1993, and loved it!! Since then it was damaged in a bad hurricaine and rebuilt, we had heard that it is even better than it was when we were there. In 2000 we visited Sandals St. Lucia when there were just the two properties, the one we were at and the Halcyon. We loved it! Now there is a 3rd St. Lucia property, called the Grande. Both Sandals Antigua and St. Lucia were well kept up, beautiful spots, nice accomodations, good food, not great, but the all inclusive is great with drinks and watersports, etc included. So in 2003 we decided to go to Sandals Royal Bahamian for our 10th anniversary and renew our vows, which is free, a nice touch! We were very disappointed in this property!! Our first room smelled very musty, the room was not in great shape. We went to complain and they didn't have any vacant rooms available for that nite, but they changed us the following nite to an upgraded room, which was much better. But the property itself was not well kept, light bulbs burned out and not replaced, the grounds not well kept, etc. The food was typical Sandals food but we actually had one of the best meals we have had at a Sandals at the Royal Bahamian in the French restaurant. This resort is supposed to be the same quality as the St. Lucia one we went to, and it was no where close, it was much dumpier and not well maintained!!! We also are thinking of trying one more Sandals and thinking of the Sandals Grande St.Lucian, but on www.tripadvisor.com there are mixed reviews kind of like our Bahamian experience, so not sure what to do. Good Luck! Shari

ShariG,
We were at Sandals Royal Bahamian in 2003 also and had a totally different experience. We loved it. Thought the property was great, the food good, the nightlife decent. We had a wonderful time. We just returned from Sandals Grande St. Lucia a couple of weeks ago and didn't care for the property as much as the Royal Bahamain. Though is was quite nice, we just liked the Bahamas resort set-up better. The food at the Grande was a major disappointment compared to the Royal Bahamian. As far as Islands, St. Lucia was much nicer with more things to see and do than Nassau.
I've been reading on several sites comparisons between Sandals and Couples in Jamaica. Think we give Couples a try in the future.
I wouldn't believe everything you read on trip advisor. A lot of peole use that forum to post negative reviews as a personal vendetta.

Many thanks KVR, ShariG and virginia for all the informations and posted web sites for references.
As a young couple we have decided, to try the sands resort instead of sandals.
We'll post our experience once we get back.
Thanks again
