San Juan connection delays?
Has anyone flown out of San Juan to St. Lucia
on American? Was wondering if the 2.5 hour
layover is enough time to get through customs
comfortably.
Our other option is Atlanta connection on Delta...
has anyone done this without hassles?
We are taking carry on only.

2.5 hours should be AMPLE time to get thru customs. If I'm not mistaken, you'll only need to worry about clearing SanJuan customs on the return. Bags should be checked all the way to SLU on the way down. We went thru SJU from NEV and were thru customs in a matter of minutes. Good luck.

You only need to clear customs coming home, not going there. It should be plenty of time. When you get to San Juan you will need to go downstairs to where the flights depart for other islands. All of those gates are 1-A,1-B,1-C ,etc. you need to check in down there and a bus will take you out to the plane. They normally want you to have a lot of time because of the bus situation. It really should not be a problem at all.
