RUDE and DISCUSTING SERVICE!

Visited St.George with my yacht crew, needed food supplies and went to Somer's Supermart. The reception from 2 elderly cashiers was terrible to say the least. We were also TOLD that we HAD to leave tips to a very young girl that was packing our items! We got both their names from local people after the Shop Manageress was rude to us.Cashiers names are Melony Bean and Waverly Harvey, the Manageress refused to give her name but we were told it was 'Missy'

We will NOT be using this store again and advise everyone to shop elsewhere for their supplies.

I would say
RUDE and DISGUSTING POST

And you are so little that elderly treated you unkindly and you found that so offensive as to name names on a travel forum.

Karma's a biotch.

The chance of someone reading this post who was planning to go to St. George Jamaica and shop at Somer's Supermart is pretty much nil.

Are you suggesting that the yacht thought they were in Bermuda, when they were really in Jamaica?

With an attitude like this:

"ignore the 3 idiots that have replied so far, that's if their posts are still visible after Admin has seen them!"

Sounds like you asked for it! Go ahead, complain about this post too-- but I'm just pointing out that you get what you give, sounds like you're way out of line for this one

PS I'm kind of disgusted with your spelling! Especially for a headline

PSS do you get mad at every little thing? You must be stressed!

The people who pack shopping bags in Bermuda are generally only compensated by tips. Try to educate yourself on the customs of a foreign country rather than complain they don't do things the way you are used to.

"We will NOT be using this store again ..."

After your post on a public travel forum just to complain about them, I am sure they will be VERY happy to know you won't be returning.

Such a big problem.
An uneducated nouveau Riche cannot stand giving a tip to poor girls packing his groceries.
What ? Cigar too big so that you couldn't pack yourself ?

Or did you just want to show off with your crew or your yacht ?
Next time leave ancillary tasks to petty personal and sip champagne on your yacht.

So you won't have to stand rude people trying to make a living.

Good question pariswhat.

What is you name and address Lash? What's the name of your yacht and the crew?
as you are quick to post other peoples names and place of work in a defamatory way.

This has got to be the most ridiculous thread ever started on this board (and there have been some lulu's!)

You come across as pretty mean/miserable . . . AND obsessive. You actually searched the interweb to find site to post your silly rant.

>>We will NOT be using this store again . . . <<

I'm sure the supermarket is quaking in their boots

>> . . . and advise everyone to shop elsewhere for their supplies.<<

Yeah -- for sure we'll remember to do that. stooooopid

We visit Bermuda annually and always tip the grocery store baggers - it is the local custon and, as cmcfong indicates, this is how they are compensated. Get a grip and learn the local customs BEFORE you visit a country or, better yet, stay home where everything is done perfectly to your liking.

We had a delightful day just last week in St. George's (we did not visit a grocery store).

for what it's worth... you tip baggers (usually either young or elderly people) at the grocery stores in Mexico as well.

So let me get this straight....

You own a yacht.....

But yet are posting in a public forum about being forced to slide someone a few bucks for packing your groceries?

Time for a little reality check. What was your name again?? Oh yeah......RICHARD CRANIUM

Rude customer service could be slightly annoying especially if you didn't provoke it. However, in an instance where you didn't contribute to the mood, wish them a better half of the day and wish them well and continue with your life.

Also after a certain age ( elderly) they kinda get away with whatever they want, they say and do what ever and it's almost and elderly right of passage.

From my observation.
