Hi Ashley, where did you stay in Cabarete and did you take kite surfing lessons? Thinking about going but not sure if weather is that great this time of year or in December. It's my girlfriend's 50th birthday and would like to take her there for lessons.

Hey, I also just returned from Cabarate. Ashley, we may have crossed paths, since it is so small -- perhaps at Ohno or LAX.

I stayed at Villa Taina

I'm going to Cabarete!! I"m going on the 19th - 25th. There are so many little places, and many of their websites are not very good. I'm meeting my daughter, who is a student in Santiago, she wants to show me around her favorite haunts, etc. We would only need a room with double bed and private bath, inexpensive would be nice, and on the beach, but it sounds like there are a log ot deals. Any information you can share is great. Do you really need reservations, or can I just take a cab from Puerto Plata and walk around and find a hotel?

SO interested in hearing your view of Cabarete. We are coming in March with children and parents. What's the feel of the town? We are renting a home there. What's the beach/water itself like?
Thanks!

Hi Ashley,
A few of my friends and I are thinking of staying in Cabarete for spring break (we're all 30ish and in grad school). I'm curious where you stayed and what you thought of it. Personally, I'd like to stay in a fairly nice place hopefully w/ inet access!

Thanks!
Alison

Hi all!..We are going to the El Magnifico in early Oct. and would appreciate any and all advice or reports on Cabarete and what to do and where to eat in the surrounding area.
