punta cana

hello

we are going to Punta Cana all inclusive hotel in the first week of July. I am really going just to rest.
Yet are there any places there that are must see ?

WHich resort?? I just came back from Punta Cana. There really isn't much to see beyond the resorts. They have "safaris" and snorkeling excursions, but the people who took them said they weren't worth it.

I went to the Dominican Republic a few years ago and we went to see the Altos de Chavon, which is a city built by the Casa De Campo resort. They have great restaurants and beautful views. Kind of far away though.

We have been to Punta Cana three times. There really isn't anything to see. As you travel from the airport to your hotel you will see how undeveloped the island is. Just go and relax. Most people returning from excursions were disappointed.

Instead of Punta Cana I would recommend La Romana...other things to do and see... have been to punta Cana twice and La Romana three times...and would go back to La romana in a heart beat
