Congratulations! There are romantic hotels on every Caribbean Island, (which are hundreds of islands). How much do you intend to spend (inc hotel and air) and how long are you staying for, a weekend, 5 days a week or longer? What are you looking to do? Snorkel, Dive, Shop, Gamble.....every island has a different flavor and something different to offer. Also when do you intend to go? <BR>

You have to tell us your definition of romantic. I got engaged at the Inn on the Blue Horizon in Vieques. My wife and I thought that it was very romantic. However, your idea romance might be very different from ours. Some people think that it's romantic to post "Janet will you marry me?" on the scoreboard at Yankee Stadium. My wife would have been mortified if I had done that. The good news is that, if she says yes, you will both remember it as a very romantic experience no matter where you decide to pop the question. But if she says no...

What you might want to consider is something that would satisfy her in a way you may not have thought of yet. What about Barbados? My thought is to take her to the Flower Forest and propose. It's located at an old sugar plantation and it's a very scenic botanical garden.

Short part of an article in recent issue of Caribbean Travel & Life--Where to Pop the Question? <BR>"How about surrounding yourselves with Cambodian Wood Nymphs and Blue Morphos? They're denizens of the delightful butterfly farms on Aruba and St. Martin. Seroe Largo, a hilltop lovers lane in the center of Bonaire, overlooks the entire expanse of salt flats that fill the southern half of the island. The view is exceptional at any time, but try to get there on a full moon when the sand flats are bleached, the coral glistens and it's all otherworldly."<BR>Other suggestions are the floral fantasia at Jardin de Balata in Martinique. Also, El Morro in San Juan, or at St. Lucia's Ladera Resort all suite heart-stopping setting.<BR>
