Mosquitos in T&C?

How is the mosquito situation at night in Provo? I notice that many resorts have screened in balconies. Is this critical for sitting outside at night, or can we enjoy sitting on our balcony at night without getting eaten alive?

After spending 6 nights during Feb., I would not pick a resort that didn't have a screened in balcony. (unless you want to wear bug spray just to hang out on the balcony)

Is the mosquito situation worse during certain months of the year?

We have been to Provo 3 times, each time was late May. I honestly did not see any mosquitos on any of our trips. I fact, we had no problems with bugs of any sort.

I wore perfume, but no bug spray.

I spent two weeks at RWI July 04 and had no problems at all except dining at Coco Bistro which was brutal.

These 'bug' questions always BUG me! Bugs on Provo, the Bahamas or whatever other island you pick are NO worse than the 747-sized mosquitos of Cape Cod or the persistant and wicked black flies of Maine or the salt marsh mosquitos anywhere else in the USA.
Just be prepared with repellent and the proper attire as you would here in the buggy USA!
From my several trips to Provo and the Bahamas I found the bugs NO worse than Anywhere, USA!

We just returned brom Beaches TC 2 weeks ago and dinned after dark in open air restuarants, walked outisde, sat on the porch and got no bug bites. We did not experience any "no see-um" bites either and I always get bit when we go to Jamaica.
