Looking for AI Golf Vacation

My husband and I are planning an adults only trip in January 2006 and we are looking to have a nice resort that offers All Inclusive and golf. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what island is the best and possibly a hotel name.

Thanks in advance.

Try Casa De Campo in Dominican Republic. Best golf course in Caribbean, (one of the best in world). Casa offers all kinds of packages, with either food or golf, you can look at web site and call them for specials.

Not the Caribbean, but we enjoyed Paradisus Melia Playa Conchal in Costa Rica. It's an AI, and the food is quite good. It's a huge place, enormous pool. I'm not a golfer, but I played there and the course was gorgeous. My FIL, an avid golfer, liked the course.

Not sure from your post if you're looking for adults only at the resort - this resort was full of kids in July.

Glad to see a Costa Rico vote! I am leaning towards there, but I was unsure of how the golf would be. I am not looking for adults only and kids are fine! This will actually be the first vacation that we have not taken our 4 kids (and they are not pleased!)

I was really hesitant about a golf vacation because our only experience with islands are St. Maarten (and the golf course was a tad unkept - looked lovely from our balcony at the Maho but up close not so good).

I have had my reservations about the DR - just with all the illness they have had in the past year. Is the resort in a nice, clean area? If we had good food, good golf and clean accomodations I would be fine for the week!

I second Costa Rica. We loved the Robert Trent Jones course at Paradisus. Absolutely amazing!! And their course clubs were (in 2003) Cobra titanium. Here is the site to my webshots for a couple photos of the course. Any questions, let me know. Lisa S

Ontario, the resort was in a lovely area. We flew to San Jose and then took a small plane to Tamarindo and a van to the resort. It's a lovely place, really. The rooms were terrific - clean and spacious and well appointed. Everything was really top notch, and I'm not normally a fan of AI's.

The golf course was just gorgeous. Again, I'm not a golfer, but we really enjoyed it. Just watch out for the iguanas, lol.

If you can do without All Inclusives, four Seasons in Exumas, Bahamas is first class all the way. You can buy meal plans there, spectacular golf!
