July weather?

I have been to Antigua, Aruba, St. Johns, and Playa del Carmen in early July because that is when our daughter is out of school and have had no problems with bad weather except it's very, very hot. Pack lightweight closes. When it's that hot we found that we dress up less, and I don't spend as much time blowing out my hair because of the heat why bother.

We usually go away in March, April, or May and have great weather in the Caribbean. We have also been away in October and November to St. Martin and Puerto Rico and the weather wasn't that great, rained on and off and thunderstorms.

Also honeymooned in the Bahamas in July, had the most gorgeous 7 days but a hurricane was right behind us when we left.

Dave,

Relax....hurricane season officially begins in June, but most hurricanes do not occur until September/October. We vacation every year during June/July and have always had perfect weather. We were in Anguilla last year from July 3-14 and the temp each day was 80-85 degrees and the humidity was not that bad.

I highly recommend Anguilla for your honeymoon. Incredible beaches, exceptional food and warm and friendly people. Congratulations and enjoy!

Just as an after thought if a hurricane is any concern try Aruba. Most posters feel it is pretty safe in July although it tis the season, nevertheless. I have been to PDC late August for one week, (I was a brave one.) We had gorgeous weather, but the day we left, a large storm was on its way. Also been there in mid July and it was gorgeous!! Very HOT!!

My wife and I were maried in St. Lucia on July 1 this year, and were there for another 9 days afterwards. The weather was beautiful for our entire two week vacation, but for one night when it rained quite heavily. Other than that, there were sporadic 5-10 minute rainshowers, but they were few and far between.

In terms of temperature, it was about 100 (36c) in the day and about 80 (25c) at night, but we never found the heat or humidity to be oppressive, despite the fact that we're from Western Canada which almost never gets above 85 in the summer and has virtually no humidity.

I have no information on Antigua, Anguilla or the BVI, sorry...

Terry
