Jamaica Resort w/private plunge pool

Planning honeymoon this December. Can anyone recommend a resort (can be all-inclusive or not) that has a private plunge pool with the room. Also would like a romantic canopy bed. All suggestions would be appreciated....

Thanks

Half Moon in MoBay has suites with private pools and is wonderful for a honeymoon. They have both EP and all inclusive pricing. It is pricey but it is really elegant and romantic and they have a wonderful spa and fitness center and a nice beach.

Beaches Grand Sport boasts 90 pools, some are private, others are semi private, and then of course there are those which are open to the whole resort

I just returned from Beaches Grande Sport and was terribly disappointed. Dirty gym, mediocre service, old furniture in the villas.

Stay away.

I expected the quality I am used to from Sandals properties in Negril, Dunns and Antigua.

We were left at the airport for 90 minues with no transport had to pay a local to drive us there. They also screwed up our return and one of the managers had to drive us himself so we would not miss our flight.

The ceiling in the spa was rotted and leaking in spots and the weight room was never clean. In addition to the debris on the floor, there were dirty glasses andcups there each morning.

The music by the pool comes from a boom box.

It bills itself as a fitness and wellness resort which is why I choose it and it was a letdown.
But,to each his own.
