Sandals Regency Plunge POOL
We are planning our honeymoon in May to Sandals Regency Resort. We have been informed by two Sandals reps, and a travel consultant that the plunge pools are private in the one bedroom honeymoon suites. We have also called Sandals a separate time and have been told they are not that private from prying eyes. We would like to be totally private, if we get a plunge pool room. Are the plunge pools worth it, or is an ocean view room better? Thanks

Jamie,
I have not stayed in the Plunge Pool suites at the Sandals Regency Resort, but by quick view of the area on a visit when we were staying at the Halcyon. They looked to me that they would be exposed to the attached units on either side of you, from the windows above. I have also read a few disappointed guests post of this, plus the fact that they are pretty much in the shade and they are not heated, so using them was uncomfortably cold.
If you have your heart set on privacy and plunge pool, I highly suggest you check out Ladera and the Jalousie Hilton resorts. At Ladera there one bedroom deluxe units with heated plunge pools are incredible. At the Jalousie they also have villa cottage rooms with plunge pools that are very private. There some are completely private and some, not quiet so private, but I am sure you can request one that is private.

Lisa - the plunge pool was nice - but it depends on which category you are in. Those with gardenviews are not very private & you could easily be seen by those on the "road" that is in the resort taking guests up to the bluff. Those that are on the bluff with ocean view are much more private & from what I can remember (I only saw that particular room, didn't stay in it) it could be completely private - and has an incredible view - over the bluff onto the sea! Have fun!
