Quietest Couples Jamaica Resorts

Which of the three Couples Resorts is most quiet/laid-back? We're not into a lot of activities. Thanks.

Dear Safecracker,
Couples are all similar..so just to confuse you...why not check out something a little more upscale and special. If you like privacy, your own chef and butler in a South Coast resort try Bluefield Villa's (website of the same name)or Oasi Spa Jamaica where you can have Spa treatments in your own Villa. Around the Southcoast area is YS falls , Black River tours , Rafting, Tubing and Horseback riding.OR just stay in and pamper..
Good luck

A good tip from jaguide.
Talk to Deborah Montcure (bluefieldsvillas.com) about a small villa (Cottonwood, Hermitage or Honeymoon) for two in this very private 5 villa seaside property profiled in Caribbean Travel and Life,Oct.2001 and also an advertiser there. This is grand Jamaica, a hidden refuge that gets lots of celebs, politicos and internationals and you'll get much more here than at any Couples. OASIS, a pampering day spa, 5 mins.away, serves
Bluefields Villas guests. Spa owner is former spa director at Swept Away, Negril. For comparable money, also recommend GOLDENEYE on Jamaica's North Coast at Orcabessa.

We did Swept Away for our honeymoon. Loved it! Didn't want one of those AI deals where you have an entertainment coordinator hollering for people to get involved in activities, didn't need much nightlife provided by the resort and wanted privacy and a great beach. We got that with Swept Away. Beautiful beach, Atrium room was just as pictured on their web site (no tv). Food was good, staff was friendly. Could not have asked for a better honeymoon. Had we wanted outside activities they were there, if we had wanted to never leave the room, nobody would have noticed. Very romantic.

Actually, we did hre a driver for a day trip into Negril. Great time, still have his card and will be calling him soon to pick us up. You cannot go wrong with Swept Away if you are looking for quiet/romantic, wonderful beach and setting. We're trying Couples Negril this summer. Not because of anything wrong with Swept Away...just to see what it is like.

We will work up to staying at the non-AI resorts. Part of me is really, really drawn to that....

You'll love Jamaica, if you haven't been. Truly the greatest people in the world, I do believe, based on our experience.

Irie,
A

Dear Safecracker, We went to Couples OR last summer and found it to be quite relaxed and comfortable. Plenty to do when you choose... or do nothing at all. You sign up for what you would like to do so you have a reservation in advance, and that is all there is to it. We really enjoyed our stay there and would try a Couples property again in Jamaica. If there are any other questions I can answer, feel free to ask.
