We've been to the full moon party at Bomba's on Tortola. Not sure where else they hold a party, so if you're talking about Bomba's I can give you an ear full!! It's fine for anyone that wants to party. It's both tourists & locals and can get wild! We stayed over the hill at Long Bay, not sure if I'd travel any further than the hike over the hill for this party. Any ohter questions?

Think boaters, hotel guests, Islanders.....then remember when you went to your first frat party. We are talking puking, passed out in mud puddles, etc etc. Bomba's rum punch is stronger than the "tea".Anyway, you might meet some fun folks- just don't plan on anything but a Caribbean drunkfest.

Bomba's is the only full moon party. I think you can figure out when they hold it. Clue: once per month on a cyclical basis.<BR>If getting drunk on a beach while very loud music plays; if you enjoy stepping either in pools of vomit or on shards of broken glass in the sand; then Bomba's is made for you.

Actually many islands have their own full moon parties but Bomba's is the one with the reputation of a bunch of adults (almost) who for some reason revert back to adolescence and love to drink til they throw up, personally take off undergarmets to get a teeshirt and lots of attention or even have a personal porno picture taken with Bomba. It is a beachshack on Tortola and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone because of the noise and crowds and "tea" - after all, he buys th 'scrooms in the supermarket and everyone runs around like they are stoned from it! If it weren't so sad it would be funny! And he laughs all the way tot he bank.

Here's the deal. The Bomba shack near Long Bay is a must see for anyone who loves the Caribbean, loves to party and likes island music. It has been ranked at one of the top 10 bars in the Caribbean. The punches are awesome. And yes, while the full moon party is pretty wild, so what? If you don't like, just walk home to the hotel.

I went to the Full Moon party in March. It's a hoot, the shack is a legend on the island, definately go see it. The party is like an old college days party, I like to party a bit classier now. T-shirt contests, funny mushroom tea, don't go there! Lots of local people to chat with, and some good caribbean food vendors. We stayed at the Sugar Mill and it was delightful and the food was top notch, as were most of the staff.
