Hotel itself is better in Aruba. And all of the rooms are on the beach. On GC most of the hotel is across the street. But both beaches are beautiful. If you are a diver though, Cayman is better. You won't go wrong with either though.

My vote would be Grand Cayman!! Aruba's beaches don't compare to 7 mile beach and the water color in Grand Cayman is much clearer!! Just my opinion. Good luck and have a great trip!! Lisa
The actual hotel in Aruba is better.
The hotel is right on the beach and the pool area is nice.

The Hyatt GC is not on the beach and most of the rooms are a minimum quarter mile walk to the beach, across the street. Some new villas are on the beach but they're large expensive digs.
The beach is better in GC.
The Hyatt GC is an older hotel and due for major renovations.

You can have a great time with either choice, but the pros and cons are different at each place.

actually I'd skip the caribbean altogether and go to Hyatt in Kauai. That is a true paradise.
