Honeymoon Help!!

Am planning to go to the carribean in May or June of 2005 for our one year anniversary (honeymoon). Neither of us have any clue on where to go as we have never been there. Am looking for any suggestions on places that we should consider for an unforgettable honeymoon. Definitely want nice beaches, good food and a little night life. Are there any good all-inclusives?? Thanks a bunch for your help.

I think you and your new bride will be very happy with the most beautiful and romantic island in the Caribbean... Grenada.

There are many good choices of restaurants and boutique style hotels and resorts on the beaches. The people are super friendly. There is lots to see and do if you want but it is not over commercialized. It is a dream place. Grenada

Without a doubt, St. John. It has the most beautiful beaches you will ever see, a number of good restaurants and a good enough nightlife --not spring break-like, but certainly enough for honeymooners.

The accomodations run from rustic camping to hillside villas to upscale resorts.

I stumbled upon the Bucuti Beach web site and was intrigued to keep looking. My Fiancé and I were looking for a quiet resort without the loud music, aerobics, and the socialization of other couples. After I searched other places in Aruba including the high- rise district we decided on the Bucuti and opted to stay in the Tara Suites. When we made the reservations the Tara suites weren?t even in the construction phase. We only saw drawings and were crossing our fingers for a beautiful place to stay on our honeymoon. Many people have made comments to us stating that we wouldn't spend a lot of time in our room so why spend the extra money or stay somewhere that has nice rooms. Well I disagree completely. We did spend nights in our room watching TV relaxing on the porch and having cocktails. When we arrived in Aruba we were surprised when we saw the other low-rise hotels. We had to drop of the other tourists at the Tamarjin and the sister hotel. They were squirming with people and looked dumpy. We became nervous until we were dropped off at our hotel. The pictures on the Internet look exactly like the resort. The staff was very accommodating. We completed an Internet check in and we were immediately escorted to our Tara Suites room. When we opened the door to find the rooms looked exactly like the web site we were very excited. We had a first floor room with a spectacular view. We immediately unpacked and headed for the sea. Our pants got soaked but that was ok we were in paradise. We walked to the outside bar, which had this steel drum player who was wonderful. Our Gray Goose and tonics were very reasonable. Only $7.50 for two drinks. Well we soon found out that is because we ordered at happy hour. Our second vodka tonics were $15.00. Well we learned when happy hour was. I didn't care I was in paradise. I would recommend this place to couples without kids and who don?t want to socialize with others. We occasionally spoke to people but felt no obligation to go out with them. Overall I thought we stayed at the perfect resort. I couldn?t have wished for anything better.

ARUBA: We have stayed at the Bucuti in a regular room and found this property to be wonderful and relaxing. The large beach is stunning and quiet.
It is very easy to drive to nearby restaurants or take a taxi or bus. The restaurants are fantastic, we have been to many of them over the years.
Renting a car for at least a few days is a good idea to drive around the small island. Drive out to the lighthouse, Arashi or Baby Beach etc.
BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS: Tortola offers incredible views of other islands from the hotels and while driving. Sail or ferry over to other nearby islands--Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, Peter Island etc.
We stayed at the Sugar Mill Hotel and visited the Fort Recovery Villas both of which are really nice and romantic properties. Suites are the best units at the Sugar Mill and the only ones that have T.V.s. All suites at FR have T.V.s.
Renting a jeep is necessary to drive over the hills which can be steep. Cane Garden Bay is a beautiful long curved beach which is about 15 mins drive from Sugar Mill. Lounge rentals for $10/day and Myett's is great for lunch.
At night you can try Bomba's Shack, Quito Rhymer's place and Myett's. Sebastians has live music on Sundays.
These properties all have websites online with more information if you are interested.
