Honeymoon...
We are wanting to honeymoon in Jamaica; but do it inexpensively! We found a villa for rent - San Cove Villa in the San San Resort? It looks great, but I was wondering if anyone had any other options for a 10-day stay that is $3-5,000 (with car rental, accommodations, air fare, activities, food) and at a QUIET, romantic getaway place with great beaches and good snorkeling; plus some fun stuff to do?????? I'm starting to think it's impossible to find this ANYWHERE!
Thanks!
Thanks!

When do you plan to honeymoon? There are lots of places that you can find in that price range. One that comes to mind is Jamaica Inn. Recently I saw a package on luxurylink that offered 5 nights accommodations, business class airfare, daily breakfast and dinner, for two for around $2000. I'd bet that you could contact the hotel and inquire about a 10 day package that would perfectly fit your range and still leave plenty of money for excursions, drinks, shopping, etc.
And though I'm not a fan of them personally, I imagine that you could get a good deal at some of the AI places in jamaica for 10 days. Folks seem to like the Swept Away and Grand Lido resorts.
If I were going to do an AI in Jamaica, I think i would try the Caves in Negril-- a very funky boutique hotel on the cliffs. And though it's not an AI, I also like the Rockhouse, which is VERy reasonably priced.

Ooh...San San villas, NICE, and in such a beautiful part of Jamaica!
You might also check out Blue Lagoon Villas...they're very pricey but show up on luxurylink.com sometimes for a reasonable price.
There is one villa at Blue Lagoon, steps from the water instead of ON it, called Moon San Villa, that is in your range.

(in fact look at Carolyn's other cottages at http://www.barrettadventures.com/cottages/
and also these:

I took a bunch of photos when we were in Jamaica last month (and wrote a trip report):

Hope that helps. We honeymooned in a villa in Jamaica 12 years ago and have gone back pretty much every year since

Nix on MoonSan in Porty based on our guests' experiences there. Carolyn does have two new simpler places in Porty/two cottages I think called Mizuki
and a couple of rough, surfing style beach bungalows (Yahimba) on Long Bay,the best/only surfing beach on island. If you CAN find a deal on the Blue Hole stretch of white fantasy villas, you might find it at the owners syndicate Web site, Wimco or luxurylink.
